Superhero Training Routine
Here's a minute-by-minute rundown of our our one-hour Superhero training routine! Refined and practised over hundreds of parties, this is the show you can expect when you book any of our Superhero characters; The Bat, The Captain or The Spider.
Your superhero arrives and introduces himself, giving high fives to all the kids, with a particular focus on the birthday child. He explains that he's come to teach the next generation of superheroes, and then the training begins!
Your hero directs the kids through a few stretches (touch their toes, reaching for the sky, nodding their heads, etc.), before launching into some exercises; sit-ups, push-ups, jumping-jacks and running on the spot.
CHARADES & TRIVIA
Your hero acts out famous comic book heroes, and the kids have to guess which characters he's pretending to be. Every right answer prompts a trivia question. We always make sure to adjust the skill level of the questions to best fit the group.
A quick round of superhero themed Simon Says tests children's super-hearing and reflexes!
Now your hero produces a plush toy version of himself. There are three games we play with this plushy hero: Catch the Hero, where we throw the plushy around the group and every catch counts as a point, Pass the Hero, a spin on the classic hot potato game, except that if you're caught on fire you have to make a superhero pose, and Super Target Practice, in which kids throw the plushy into a target from across the room.
ACT THAT SUPERHERO
The guests follow the hero around on a quick run around the space, acting out different superheroes, animals and characters along the way.
Your hero hides mini-frisbees around the space while the children's eyes are closed, then they have to go find them! In a second round, the birthday child helps hide the frisbees from the group. Finally, all eyes are open for a free-for-all third round.
Your hero will play superhero theme music (appropriate to the character) from his portable Bluetooth speaker. The kids dance along to the tune until it's paused; then they have to stay perfectly still.
A chance for posed group pictures with the whole party, then one-on-one shots for each individual guest.
Your superhero presents the birthday child with their very own customized, laminated Superhero Academy Certificate to reward them for a job well done.
FINAL REQUESTS & EXIT
Your hero will ask if you'd like him to take out the birthday cake (provided by you) and sing the birthday song, or if there is anything else he can help you with whatsoever. Finally, he will be called away to fight crime out in the city. He gives a final round of high fives and goodbyes to all the guests, and then he's up, up and away to his next adventure.
Routine might vary slightly in timing and activities depending on the discretion of your performer.
